These have a single gesture that reads across a room, which is what you want for young children and for the first round of the night: Mickey Mouse (hands as round ears), Olaf (stack three circles, then shiver), Simba (hold a cub above your head), Ariel (brush your hair with an imaginary fork), Buzz Lightyear (arms out, wings pop), Winnie the Pooh (head stuck in a honey pot). Most take under fifteen seconds.
Now you need a small scene rather than a pose: Tangled (unroll very long hair, then release a lantern), Monsters Inc (open a door, scream, collect the scream), Mulan (cut your hair, then march), Zootopia (a very slow sloth at a service desk), Cruella de Vil (split-colour hair, long cigarette holder, count puppies). Expect thirty to forty-five seconds each — this is the sweet spot for team play.

Song titles are the hardest of all, because you cannot hum, tap a rhythm or mouth a lyric — you have to act the scene the song comes from.
If a child is too young to read the screen, an adult whispers the word to them and then sits out that round as a guesser. It keeps four- and five-year-olds fully in the game, which is usually where the best acting comes from anyway.
Before acting, the player signals whether it is a character, a film or a song — three fingers for a song, a rectangle for a film. It costs two seconds and stops the guessers shouting character names at a song for a full minute.
